In difficult economic times, the benefits of CAFM systems continued to shine bright as a beacon of hope for many facilities managers and service providers. Heading towards the light, the vision of how a CAFM system can help support and improve internal processes became clearer and clearer. This vision was shared by several clients from different disciplines in August.
After a few months steady planning, August witnessed the installation of 4 CAFM systems. Each installation offered its own take on a solution. With service providers wishing to focus heavily on improving efficiency with site engineers, Tabs Mobile systems provided a practical and natural extension to Tabs Systems to support their initiative. Capturing data from the field and transferring it back to base helped improve response times, cut labour, reduce paper consumption and also improve data accuracy.
August installations for internal facilities departments offered a slightly different approach. With limited resources over the summer period, systems installed for internal FM operations opted for a gradual introduction to Tabs Systems. Working closely with our clients, the Tabs FM project team facilitated the path through close project management and implementation of a training environment. The benefits experienced as part of the implementation training program have helped to reinforce the proposed data architecture, ensuring high quality data output and reporting.
